The Restaurant
A cosy heritage dining experience serving Khasi, Indian, Asian, and select Continental cuisine amidst the hills of Meghalaya.

Dining with Warmth & Heritage
The Restaurant offers a delightful blend of local Khasi cuisine alongside Indian, Asian, and select Continental dishes. Set within a heritage structure, it provides a warm and cosy ambience—especially enchanting when the old fireplaces are lit, creating a truly inviting dining experience.
Crafted with Passion
Special weekend offerings are thoughtfully curated by the Managing Director, Mr. Alan West Kharkongor, a self-taught chef with a deep passion for food. His culinary journey has been featured on international platforms such as Travel XP, Rocky and Mayur’s food show, and Meghalaya’s own food and travel series, Hills on a Plate, among others.
The interiors of the restaurant are equally distinctive, adorned with décor crafted from repurposed materials and vintage cutlery, all thoughtfully handmade by Mrs. Kharkongor. Every element reflects a strong sense of creativity, sustainability, and personal touch—making Café Cherrapunjee not just a place to dine, but an experience shaped by passion, warmth, and authenticity.

More than a meal — an experience shaped by stories, warmth, and the spirit of Meghalaya.
